Background

Following the conclusion of a judicial review process earlier this year the outline planning permission, including access, which was granted at appeal in July 2023 for up to 210 dwellings has established the principle of new homes on this site. The outline permission has established a framework for the finer details of development to be determined by a reserved matters application.

The outline planning permission also set some specific parameters for the development, including details of access, drainage principles, a requirement for biodiversity enhancement and the provision of 74 affordable dwellings. Barratt David Wilson have acquired the site and are now in the process of preparing the detailed design over the forthcoming months, before they submit a reserved matters planning application later this Summer.
